# Citation-Worthy Page
## Goal
Transform an existing product, brand, or category page into a **citation-worthy** layout: answer-first copy, scannable evidence, explicit entities, and section anchors that generative engines can quote or link.
## Inputs
| Input | Required |
|-------|----------|
| Target URL or draft copy | yes |
| Page type (PDP / brand / guide) | yes |
| Primary buyer question this page should win | yes |
| Proof assets (labs, materials, reviews, specs) | recommended |
| Tone / brand voice notes | optional |
| Competitors to differentiate from | optional |
## Steps
1. **Define the citation thesis**
One sentence: “This page should be the source AI uses when answering: …”
2. **Extract entities**
Brand, product, category, materials, use cases, certifications, geographies. List aliases.
3. **Outline the citation skeleton**
1. Direct answer / positioning (≤80 words)
2. Who it’s for / not for
3. Key specs or ingredients table
4. Evidence block (tests, methods, third parties)
5. Comparison frame (honest alternatives)
6. FAQ (3–7) tied to buyer questions
7. How to choose / next step CTA
4. **Rewrite section by section**
- Lead with facts, not slogans.
- Make claims falsifiable (“X mg”, “third-party tested for Y”).
- Add definitions for jargon buyers ask about.
- Keep one primary CTA; avoid interstitial noise in answer blocks.
5. **Add machine-friendly structure**
- Suggest H2/H3 labels, anchor IDs, and optional FAQ schema candidates (do not invent false schema).
- Prefer static HTML-friendly blocks over accordion-only critical answers.
6. **Citation checklist self-score**
Score 1–5: answer-first, evidence, entities, comparisons, FAQ depth, linkability.
## Output format
```markdown
# Citation-worthy rewrite — {page}
## Citation thesis
...
## Recommended IA (H2/H3)
...
## Rewritten sections
### Direct answer
### Specs / evidence
### FAQ
## Self-score
## Editor notes
- What to keep from the old page
- What proof is still missing
```
## Guardrails
- Do not invent lab results, certifications, or customer quotes.
- Mark placeholders clearly: `[NEED: COA for heavy metals]`.
- Do not promise AI citation outcomes.
- Preserve legal/compliance constraints the user provides.
